Again you might think that it must be a very advanced technology that makes electricity from wind, but in fact it is not.

Well you all know those little electric engines that run of a 1.5V small AA battery?

The system in this case goes like that :

Current from the battery activates little magnets and this makes the rod in the engine to turn. Now if we reverse this step then we basically get some voltage out from there where we usually connect the batteries.

This is how homemade wind generator creates electricity, although the system is not that simple, but you now basically know how it works. I hope this little reading gave you some knowledge
