Homemade Wind Generator - How efficient it is
A quick learn on the subject how much energy a homemade wind generator can produce

Martin Thomberg - 7.11.08

When I started building my first homemade wind generator, then I encountered a big question - how much energy can one wind generator produce and does it really work so well as they stated online.

A normal homemade wind generator can produce usually 1kWh of energy, this means that if your normal home media center takes 250wH of energy, then you can run upto 4 tv sets and you would not have to pay for it. In one year I usually consumed 30 000kWh of energy and since there is aprox. 8700 hours in a year then I can cut my energy bills by 28%, which is relatively large ammount of money. Well in my case that equals with a yearly win of $3000, in one month i can win up to 300 on my bills and since nowaday there are no more taxes on energy bills if you produce some of the energy from reneweable energy source.

But here is the idea that I came up with - since homemade wind generator is relatively small and easy to set up, then you can build multible generators, which will produce all the energy you need and if you produce more than you consume, then energy companies will buy it from you and you can earn money from the energy you produce.

Hope this helps you and you can now build your own homemade wind generator. BTW - Homemade wind generator pays off within one month - one unit usually costs about $150 so when you can cut your bills by $300, then you will be in a profit.
